Yields 2 dozen.
- Cream the margarine and sugar. Add the flour, soda and salt that are sifted together and mix well.
- Stir in rolled oats. Press half of this mixture on the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 pan.
- Spread with the preserves. Cover with remaining mixture.
- Bake in a hot oven at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut into bars.
