A recipe from my cousin in Kentucky.

  1. To make filling: mix 1 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons flour in saucepan, add berries and enough water to top of berries. Mix well. Bring to a boil.
  2. Put in baking dish.
  3. To make crust: mix 2 cups flour and 1/4 cup shortening well, add 3/4 cup milk.
  4. Roll out and cut into strips. Add long ways on berries and then short ways.
  5. Put dabs of butter on top of crust and sprinkle with sugar. Bake until golden brown at 375 degrees.
