Fried cornbread also known as Johnnycakes.

Directions
- Mix ingredients in order given. Let batter stand while griddle heats.
- Grease griddle lightly with bacon drippings or cooking oil.
- Stir batter. Pour onto griddle using about 1 tablespoon or so for each cake.
- When edges are dry and cakes are covered with bubbles, turn and brown other side.
