Pennsylvania Dutch Light Ginger Cookies

If desired, decorate with icing.



  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Mix thoroughly butter, sugar and vinegar. Blend in remaining ingredients. If dough is too dry to handle easily, work in milk or cream 1 teaspoon at a time.
  3. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  4. Bake 6-8 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly; carefully remove from baking sheet.
