Makes 2 (9 inch) crust pies.
- Sift flour, measure and add salt. Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender or two knives until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Combine egg, vinegar and water, drizzle over flour mixture, mix lightly with fork until flour is moistened and all holds together in a ball.
- Divide into 4 parts. Roll each part on a floured board and fit into a 9 inch pan.
