Sausage gravy is a delicious old fashioned breakfast dish. Serve over hot biscuits.
- Place sausage in skillet. While frying break into small pieces. Cook until done. With slotted spoon remove meat and set aside.
- To the drippings, add the butter and melt. Add the flour and stir for a couple of minutes. Don't let it burn.
- Slowly add milk, stirring in until it's smooth. Add salt and pepper to your taste. Add the sausage and stir well.
- Simmer for a couple of minutes until it reaches a desired consistency. (If it gets too thick, add a little more milk.)
