- In top of double boiler melt chocolate; add sugar slowly stir in boiling water, let cook 10 minutes.
- Combine cornstarch salt and cold water; stir into chocolate mixture, beating vigorously.
- Let cook until smooth and thick; remove form heat; add butter and vanilla; while still warm pour over cake.
