I have always loved cooking since I was a young girl. I especially enjoy looking for and trying out new recipes. Spending countless hours searching through cookbooks, and cutting out recipes from newspapers, magazines, and product packing, I acquired quite a vast collection. Over the years, I began to realize that recipes are not just about the food. They often represent traditions and special memories. Some of my most precious recipes were given to me by family and friends. I believe it is essential to pass down recipes and make them available for future generations. So, one day, on a whim, I decided to just post a few recipes on my Facebook page. When it seemed that others were reading the recipes too, I started to add more. Interest continued to grow, and the Gathering Old Recipes Facebook page was born. I had no idea that four years later I would have over 15,000 followers. I am pleased to announce that all the recipes that are posted on Facebook are now here on the new user-friendly website. As you browse, please keep in mind that recipes are not always perfect. They may contain mistakes, omit ingredients, or leave out directions, but that is what makes each one so special. I didn't write or create the recipes. I just share them.
